I am a victim of fraud that occurred when I sold a ring on your site to a
registered buyer with your site. I was sent 4 international money orders
in
USD. I took them to my bank and depositied them. I used the money to have
some work down on my vehicle and other bills as I am on a disability
pension
and money is very hard to come by. I was informed at my bank the money
orders were counterfit and the took my pension money to cover some of the
money orders that were bogus. The police will be coming to visit me on
Saturday November 26th to take a formal complaint from me. I have another
pension deposit coming into my bank on Monday and the bank plans to take
that one too. I have no other money and I have a mortgage I can't pay this
month. This missed payment puts me in default and I could lose my house.
Were are your protection warranty for sellers who get burned while selling
on your site. I am out $2800.00 USD. I am going to provide information to
the federal police when I am interviewed tomorrow and your site is
invloved.
My sale was under diamondgirl. I listed a diamond ring worth $8100.00 with
a
appraisal to certify the same. please get back to me with some sort of
resolution to my situation.
Solution:
If buyer prefers to pay you by Money order or credit card see if the buyer
is verified by eHotBid
the the buyer is not verified request the buyer to get verified first and
then accept the payment in Money order.
If the buyer is Verified by our Verification dept then there is very small
percentage of risk involved.
Try very hard to get paid in Pay pal, Its always better....
